You know how it is: you successfully do one, and you’re an expert! I’ve billed a couple and had them paid, no quibbles, so be free to consider me an ace.

The trick is to skip the “Litigator” section and do the rest first. It will bring you down to the section where you enter your times etc. Be sure to use the drop down thingys though, and hey presto! The Litigator part is populated. It’s an annoying fiddle to start with, but once you get it, it’s a doddle. Enjoy.

Subject: help with CA1 form

Hello,

Is there anyone out there who is feeling proficient at completing the CA1 claim form for S38 appointment claims?

I am not getting any drop down menus in the “ litigator work claimed” tab and then when I complete it manually the figures it inputs to the “claims details” page are correct in total but entered in the wrong boxes?

What am I doing wrong/missing?

Can you just complete this by hand and send it in the post?

I have emailed the department responsible for this but they are indicating 20 days to answer my query and I will be out of time by then.
