Elmley does video visits. I don’t think Swaleside does. Legal visits there will give you a telephone number.

Hi All,

I’d be grateful if anyone can help me with this question. I’m trying to book a video link to a client in HMP Standford Hill. It would appear they do not have video link there and I cannot get a straight answer out of them whether there are such facilities at any of the three prisons in the ‘Sheppey Cluster’, as I gather they are now collectively known.

Can anybody tell me if video link has reached the Isle of Sheppey yet, and whether it’s possible to use those facilities at one of their prisons when your client is in another?

Better still if you can advise me how I go about arranging this, along with email/phone contact details, that would be really helpful.

Walking the prisoner across to the video link booth at the other prison would surely be far more cost effective than the solicitor spending the entire day out of the office to have a one hour meeting with their client, but I suppose I’m being too logical!

Many thanks in advance for any suggestions.

Kind Regards,
