I am currently instructed in a potential appeal for a client previously convicted of Fraud arising from a carbon credit operation. Some of you will already be aware from media coverage that the prosecution carbon credit expert instructed by the CPS and City of London Police in a number of recent prosecutions, Andrew Ager,  was recently discovered to have no relevant qualifications in this field at all, during a case at Southwark Crown Court, R v Deakin & Others. As a result of this development in the case the Crown offered no evidence and the judge directed not guilty verdicts.

I would be interested to hear from any member who has recently been instructed on appeals arising as a result of the development in this case.
