Dear Member
This consultation closes today .
The proposal is to reduce the number of duty solicitors from three to one each day .
The Highbury Youth court consultation received ten responses and led to the slashing of the rota so that many did not receive any slots in the next rota .
This is bean counting by the LAA who presume that duty solicitors sit around all day redundantly , the impact on busier days will see an increased inefficiency as the court is kept waiting for the duty solicitor
to see a larger volume of clients .
