Whatever you do, it is really slow. I usually extract the data to PDF or excel and then review the data from there but whatever you do, it will be slow and cumbersome.

I would write back to the CPS and ask that it be served in a more user friendly format, i.e. already extracted and saved to various identifiable folders. The Crown's expert(s) should already have done this work and so will have it saved somewhere in any event and should just need to be copied.

Providing the material in XRY format is lazy and most unhelpful.

But the way things are served are always done in the most unhelpful way. Why do we get 10 discs with 50mb of data on each disc, when they could all have been put on one disc in separate folders? Takes 10 times as long to copy the data to a hard disk to review!

Good luck

Good morning all

Can anyone tell me if there is a quicker and easier way to view electronic phone evidence that has been served in .xry format on a disc?

I have tried to follow the Crown’s instructions (moving all files from three different discs into one single location before being able to view the material) and viewing it with the XRY viewer provided, but it is taking a very long time to even copy one disc on to my desktop.

Grateful for any suggestions.
