It is an absolute nightmare. I don’t know how anyone who does civil legal aid regularly can put up with their system. You have to register for and use the CMS system I am afraid. I am not sure they accept anything else. If you have half a day spare try calling the LAA and see what they say.

We could not find direct guidance as to how to submit, were told twice by Contact Centre to send forms by email, a month of chasing only to be told not only has the application not been considered, we have to first try and get on CCMS, then apply via CCMS and only if that doesn't work can we have our email application considered. 

Any direct experience of similar applications and how processed would be greatly appreciated.
