There are many personal injury forms dealing with compensation claims.

Criminal legal aid as ever is for people suspected of crimes, not the victim.

Subject: Modern Slavery- Query

Dear Members

How does one deal with a complaint that someone they know is a victim of modern slavery. They say they have reported the matter to the police. How can a solicitor help the alleged victim in these circumstances?  This does not appear to be a situation where the Modern Slavery is being used as a defence. Appears to be a cry for help. So what is the role of the solicitor? Is it simply ensuring the matter is reported to the police and applying for compensation? Is legal representation for such matters covered under criminal legal aid or otherwise?

Thanks for your help!
