We face catastrophe when jury trials are halted/rescheduled , custody suites close , arrests fall even further .A precipitate fall in activity needs an emergency response .I suggest a guarantee by the MoJ to sustain payments at the last 12 month average
with provision to allow a very long rebalancing and indeed write offs .It will be the only way to keep a cjs defence infrastructure intact .

That advice is as useful as a cat flap in an elephant house.
No mention by the LAA about how to deal with the requirements for 14 fee-earning hours per week, number of cases etc. I bet that they have proper guidance for their staff.
