We as a firm are sending an email to our contract manager today to inform them that our solicitors who are going to be self-isolating will not be able to comply with the 14 hour rule.  May be worth others doing the same too.

Any ideas on how we should deal with police station attendances and court hearings ie protect our staff and still getting the work done and getting paid?  Maybe do voluntary interviews under caution by phone as well as all admin hearings?  Video link all prison visits?  Telephone/video link client conferences?

Kind Regards

If you had a chance to read the document forwarded yesterday , it was included in the protocol . My view is in light of that and given that contract managers are cancelling meetings with firms then the rules are suspended .
I think the same applies for any other contract compliance requirements including attending police stations .
Difficulty is that for some it is their only source of income and that may outweigh the risk .

Surely the LAA should  suspend this nonsense in this most uncertain of times ( for all of us both privately and professionally) ??
