I think that those police stations that do have video link access should utilise this. It just means setting up a secure temporary dial in for us solicitors. I'm sure they can figure this out.

I appreciate technology is not something readily available to the police but they can start thinking outside the box, or use the one laptop they do have.

Grab a telephone extension cable and stick a phone in room so we can be "present".

I am about to engage in a skype for business remote hearing at the Royal Courts on a Family case. If the RCJ can utilise technology then everyone else within the Justice system can.
