One stole mum’s car – the other took a ride in it!!!!

Really serious stuff we are risking our lives for!!

I’m having to attend court duty at Westminster tomorrow, so any advice as to how to deal with things much appreciated…..

We were on call today.

Chap gets arrested for grave & weighty matter (theft from m/v). An officer rings to say ready for i/view, I ask him to clarify why the Police think it is proportionate to take the risk of having 4 people in close proximity in a room for such a minor matter & why not simply BTR chap to a safer time.

After a bit of discussion I get put onto officer`s colleague, who cannot offer me any explanation other than “we have been told to interview”…I suggest asking for the input from a Sgt or Inspector. They agree to do that & promise to call me back once they have done that.

Next thing is the DSCC ring me to say that the cops have told them that we are refusing to attend and that they want the call deployed to a back up duty solicitor!
