Last night I dealt with a client. I was e mailed disclosure then spent 10 mins on the phone to OIC with questions on written disclosure and an array of possible options to be present remotely all of which the OIC said could not work. The police are not prepared at all for remote working.
I then spent an hour in Consultation with client by phone, drafted a Prepared Statement and e mailed to OIC who confirmed he would happily read it out in iv. I was available for telephone consultation for the whole of the iv and then had a post iv consultation with client who was BTR.
I will definitely be claiming an attendance fixed fee and seek to justify that with my Contract Manager at a future date. I hope this type of attendance will be formally agreed by the LAA in the coming days.
I spent 2 hours until 1a.m. This morning dealing with this matter and will not simply claim a telephone only fee.

 Hi all,

I did not go to the police station today and got disclosure on the phone and advised my client on the phone. He was coughing and suffering and had a cold so the police officer informed me and this was confirmed in my call to the client!

Am I claiming this as an advice call?

I did not leave my house so I feel it’s an advice call, any thoughts?
