Dear All I have at Wandsworth police Station representing a juvenile for robbery.
I have informed by police that due to covid ID capture and compilation is currently not being undertaken. Hence custody image will be used and ID inspector will do compilation without the input of client/solicitors.
This is new procedures adopted by police with CPS agreement.
My argument with the police is there has to be legislative changes to allow this to happen.
Please could anyone let me know if they have any information in respect of these new procedures and whether they are even legal.
