I was at the Bailey on Friday when Wandsworth had forgotten to arrange for my client to appear via the video link for 2pm .When Wandsworth was asked if they could sort something else out they offered to cancel someone else’s legal visit for 3pm. When the court asked ‘ well how can you do that?’ they replied ‘ we can just phone up the solicitor and tell them that their visit is cancelled’. The judge however thought that this was not an appropriate course of action and so declined the offer.
