Hi , I am late to this debate but my initial thoughts are that central to this are the contractual relationships and the Health and Safety at Work Act .

Fundamentally It is not for other “ stakeholders “ to determine if our place of work is safe .We now face a vastly different virus which is hugely transmissible .

Our demand must be that we have remote facility or for the highly vulnerable Different interview facilities .Interview room space needs to be twice the size with screens and microphones as well as the hygiene measures , the virus will continue to mutate and interview facilities need to be re thought .London is at the epicentre of transmission , hence the Mayor’s emergency .

I would like the Law Society to obtain legal advice on the responsibility of the LAA which through its payment process is demanding that its contractors , the firms , place their employees in dangerous places of work .

That we work remotely is not a matter of gift in the hands of the police and they as the hosts of unsafe places of work also have a legal responsibility .

Because what does an apron protect? How is an apron more protective than remote advice?

I don’t feel any safer wearing an apron, I just feel ridiculous!
