I agree – we want legal aid work to be paid well enough for young solicitors to want to enter the field, not for less qualified people top do the work.

Email fraud warning
If you receive an email with details of our bank account so that you can pay us money, always telephone us to confirm the bank details using a telephone number you already know, not any number quoted in the email.
This is because the email may be from a fraudster, not from us, and the bank account details may be false. Criminals have been known to intercept genuine emails from solicitors and forward them on with the bank details changed, so however authentic the email
looks you must not rely on it. In the same way, if you send us bank details by email we will normally phone you to check before we send money to you.

Well done!
In general did anyone notice that the junior minister stated that they listened and they are going to make it easier for legal executives to be duty solicitors without further training.
Its up to all individuals to make their own decisions and complete the survey as they see fit but I don’t believe any of us would benefit from this and so we wouldn’t ask for it.
They claim we did??or someone did.
Have I missed something or could this be just they want it and so even if a few wanted it they would just say that one is passed?
Maybe some want it but my view is at the moment there is enough duty solicitors and there is no way legal executives could just be sent to do this work without further training or if they were trained in crime
and had become accredited representative.
Hesham please be aware of this when you meet whoever is appointed, whenever you meet them. They seem to just be determined to do what they stated they wanted to do and so us completing the survey was just a
waste of time.
Trust me it was a lengthy exercise as I am sure you know.
