Dear Colleagues

As many of you know, sadly we are letting Central Booking go after many years, as things move on and our individual practices go in different directions. 

I intend to remain available as a freelance solicitor advocate, to continue to provide you and your clients with a professional and personal service. I am contactable, as before, by phone or text on 07947 579 965, on WhatsApp, Telegram or via email at bridget.irving@yahoo.co.uk. 

I will post my availability weekly, as we used to at Central Booking, but please do try me if you need cover as things change day to day.

We at Central booking have, for many years, charged £55 plus fares (no VAT) for all remand work (or £75 if the matter is concluded on the first appearance after grant of LA). In common with most freelancers now, I will be raising this to £60 per case (£70 if concluded first appearance after LA granted) with effect from 1.10.2022, private cases and trials as agreed in advance.  

I will continue to make 2 very specific commitments to you:

1. I will always, without fail, feed back the result on a case (and where applicable LA form and details) the same day, and will always provide a full attendance note within 24 hours.

2. I will ordinarily never take on more than 4 cases in the same court, thus ensuring your case is given the appropriate attention and your client is not kept waiting or hurried into making serious decisions. 

My apologies for this group email. I look forward to continuing to work with those of you with whom I already have a professional relationship, and perhaps to working with others of you in the future.
