whether anyone answers!
Thank you for your email.
We aim to respond within 5 working days

we thank you for your patience.
If your email relates to a hearing on the next working day, please ensure you have marked as ‘URGENT FOR TOMORROW’
or if sent on a Friday ‘URGENT FOR MONDAY’.
FAO Counsel
Prosecution: Until 31 January 2023, unless a Judge has directed that the advocate attend, the Prosecution may attend

Applications are not to be made in advance. Full contact details are to be provided in advance to the defence and
court on the DCS.
Defence: Until 31 January 2023, unless a Judge has otherwise directed, or if the defendant is to be produced at court
or attend on bail for a PTPH, Trial, Appeal or Sentence hearing, then the advocate may attend remotely,
provided they are satisfied that their remote attendance will not impede progress in the case and provided that they
can justify their decision not to attend to the Judge at the hearing.
Applications are not to be made in advance.
Full contact details are to be provided in advance to the defence and court on the DCS.
CVP
-
CVP Links can be found under Section A on the Digital Case System.
CVP requests for the next working day must be sent by 2:30pm to allow us enough time to seek permission from
a Judge (if necessary) and liaise with prisons to book the slots. Please note that prisons may not have a slot available and your request may be denied for this reason. Any requests received after 2:30pm may not be dealt with – if you do not receive a response
then you must attend.
Bail Variations
- Please include views from CPS before submitting your application to the Court.
Adjournments
– Please include views from CPS / Defence and an agreed adjournment date before submitting your application to the Court.
Every effort is made to accommodate
all requests, however due to the volume we are receiving, we are
unable to honour all.
