The LAA Portal is once again offline following a cyber-attack.

A reminder of the official guidance from the Legal Aid Agency.

• When the portal comes back up submit your application in the usual way.

• In the additional info box write that the LAA portal was down on [insert date] and the date stamp should be that date (and not the date you have been able to submit it).

We understand that this will be honoured for all applications, including for indictable only matters.

It will be worth checking that the correct dates are on the Representation Orders when they come through.

We would suggest keeping a screenshot of the portal outage message on file as well, so that there is a record.
