A final observation on yesterday’s communication.

 

I share the view that it is good to see that Victoria is on the Gary Bell group. What concern me though, and this is not a reflection on Victoria, is that the invitation to join was via a 3^rd party and not as a direct approach to the LCCSA. If Gary Bell & Co truly valued or wanted to hear ‘the voice of experience from the coal face’ then the wise person with an open mind would wisely approach the coal face to gain experience and knowledge.

 

The way that the entire process has come about raises numerous questions regards fundamental transparency …… hey, what’s new!!! After all many of us, not all, are defence lawyers who experience on a regular basis the injustice’ of the Criminal Justice System which is fast becoming (or has become) nothing more than a  criminal production system.
