Dear members,

Please see an email below from Sally Chesworth.  We all know of clients who are not safe on remand and principally it is a question of resources in the prisons.  Please encourage clients to speak to her so that we can keep the poor state of our CJS in the news.  I would imagine she would want to speak to a solicitor first.

Kind regards,

Mark Troman

Hi Steve,

I produce programmes for the File on 4 series at Radio 4, the latest one airing on March 13 about prison conditions and the contracts the MoJ signed with Amey and Carillion.

I am interested in hearing about the situation in HMP Pentonville in recent months and I wondered if you could help me make contact with people who have recent experience of life there for prisoners, please? If you can think of anyone who might be willing to share their views I’d be glad to hear from them.

Sorry to trouble you with this but thanks for thinking about it.  My mobile number is below if you want to pass that on, or better still if clients are willing to let me have their numbers c/o you I will give them a shout this week.

Yours sincerely,

Sally
