I now understand that Camberwell Overnights this Saturday will be at Westminster and at Hendon on Monday.
Camberwell
bail cases will be listed there at Camberwell on Monday but, as today
the Defendants will be bailed at the Court door by a Legal Advisor to
return in a couple of weeks.There will be no Judiciary in the building
and so there will be little point in an advocate attending. Save for the
fact that you will not know the remand date without contacting your
client. I am not going to be there unless this changes.
The
Court's IT system is somewhat damp and the phones currently out of
order so don't waste time trying to contact over the weekend, or, I
assume, Monday.
The word is that much of the damage seems
to be in staff areas rather than the Courtrooms and so there is hope
that normal service will be resumed soon, but no-one is going to know
that until the clear-up has started over the week-end.
