I think the Victoria Derbyshire thing should be about thier clients not the lawyers
I think this campaign has been driven by Adam Makepeace / Richard Atkinson , so might be difficult , but no reason why we cant state the point

Subject: Re: urgent request Victoria Derbyshire tomorrow
Any chance of tying in the loss of all the experienced Duty solicitors being removed from the Rotas for failure to meet the 14 hour requirements?
I’ve spoken to 3 women (20+ years experience each) today who have been removed in the last 3 weeks.
There will soon be no Duty solicitors at all.

Please can someone help
The law society are launching a campaign tomorrow pointing out the lack of young lawyers being attracted to criminal law .
This will be featured on Victoria Derbyshire tomorrow and they need a client who has been represented at the police station by a duty solicitor leading to charges being dropped /refused .
The client needs to be available and willing go on tomorrow .
Please email me if you can assist .
They do have a candidate but they wont be able to travel into the studio from their base in Cornwall .
This is a great opportunity to maintain momentum and keep the issue of legal aid cuts in the public eye , especially with the Vigil for Justice on Wednesday night (see attached flyer )
For obvious reasons , this request isn’t being posted on twitter , but will be on the closed SUKJ justice FB group
