The LCCSA are delighted to invite you to their 70th Anniversary Dinner with Guest Speaker, Sir Brian Leveson QC, President of the Queen’s Bench Division and Head of Criminal Justice.

The amazing work of defence solicitors in defending civil rights, preventing miscarriages, helping the vulnerable, keeping the CJS on the road, and so much more is rarely noticed and even more rarely acknowledged.

To mark our 70th year we are planning an evening to celebrate the incredible contributions made by defence solicitors and the Association, past and present.

We look forward to celebrating the contribution of Criminal Solicitors on this special occasion.

Date: Friday  16th November 2018 (not on Friday 30th November 2018 as previously published)
Time: 6pm
Venue: The Crypt 14 Ely Pl, London EC1N 8SJ http://bleedingheart.co.uk/the-crypt/

This event will sell out quickly, so please contact me saraboxer@aol.com for ticket information.

Sir Brian Leveson is currently the President of the Queen's Bench Division and Head of Criminal Justice. He is one of the country’s most senior judges, having previously chaired the Sentencing Guidelines Council, and conducted the high profile review into Press standards. As an advocate he appeared in many high profile cases including prosecuting Rose West.  In January 2015 Sir Brian Leveson  released his Review of efficiency in Criminal Proceedings. Many of his recommendations have been implemented in a dramatic shake up of Criminal Justice as we move into the digital age.
