If you who wish to participate in the Pilot next week please ensure you complete the LCCSA Application to Participate form https://www.lccsa.org.uk/conditions-of-entry/  and send this form back to me, by midday tomorrow.

If you have already completed this form, then you do not need to re-send me your form!

Please note that tomorrow (Wednesday) is the the cut-off date for registration for the following week.

You will be able to enter participating courts in the pilot, until November 30th, without searching, providing you:

  • Are registered with the court (so please complete the form and send back  to me) and
  • Have a valid ID LCCSA card

 Please note for security reasons:

  • If you do not have a valid LCCSA ID Card on the day of your visit, or
  • You are not registered on the day of your visit at the pilot court or
  • you do not ‘match’ your agreed official photo identification-

you will not be allowed to enter the court without going through the court security screening procedure.
Exceptions will not be allowed and you will be asked to join the end of the main queue. It is important the system being piloted is not seen by other court users as allowing ‘queue jumping’ as this is likely to cause objections.

LCCSA members who have completed the forms and have a LCCSA ID card, can enter courts nationally but there is a list of courts which are higher security which the pilot is not being run at.  For LCCSA members these are:
Blackfriars Crown
Bristol Magistrates
Central Criminal Court (Old Bailey)
Croydon Crown
Inner London Crown
Kingston Crown
Mayors and City
RCJ
Snaresbrook Crown
Woolwich Crown
Westminster Magistrates

If you require an LCCSA ID card, please complete the form and send it back to me and I will process your card as quickly as possible
https://www.lccsa.org.uk/id-card/.  I have a huge number of ID cards I am processing on a daily basis, but I will try to send your card back to you within 48 hours of receiving your application.

And if you know anyone who would like to join the LCCSA please tell them to contact me. By becoming a member of the association today, not only will they receive a free ID card required for police station access and fast track court access, but they will get access to high quality up to date training seminars, use of the designated member email account and the chance to help us to influence policy and procedure in criminal defence.

If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact me.

If you have registered on the Pilot, I would be grateful of any feedback,

With Best Regards

Sara
