Subject: Question re Legal Aid for Discharge of Restraint Order

Dear members, is there anyone who can assist with the following question;

We have a client who has been subject to police bail for over 3 years and has had assets frozen by a Restraint Order Prohibiting disposal of assets issued by the Crown Court for a similar length of time. The client still has not been charged with any offence.

We want to make an application to the Crown Court to discharge to Restraint Order. Is the client eligible to apply for Criminal Legal Representation Order for representation in the Crown Court for these proceedings?

Please let me know if anyone has an answer or has been in a similar situation.
