I am no apologist for WMC, I am being treated in a similar way.  After I saw you today,  I did not get a chance to raise it with security but mentioned to one of the court staff that security were being a little less than gentle with solicitors and barristers all of a sudden - her response was that even as staff they are having to go through the same searches because the scanner is not working.    Lifts aren’t, advocate's room is closed, shattered glass, wobbly seats, broken seats - the list is endless.  It is becoming more and more difficult to operate comfortably at WMC (so much for my Palais de Justice!)

I am going to raise it with security when I am in next - either tomorrow or Friday.  I agree with Tasha - Wimbledon (and Kingston CC)  are worse but this is not a race to the bottom  after all we are professional court users.   You raise a valid point when CPS and others are simply saluted as they go past!   I am sure you don’t need me to pen anything but I am happy to mention that advocates are unhappy.

Dear members
I wondered if anyone had had any problems with the security staff recently on entry to the building.
As we are not allowed to show our Fast track LCCSA membership cards we have to be subject to the same searches. I would not normally complain except when I am being told to raise my arms “higher, higher” and sent back because I am wearing cufflinks. Today it was particularly bad with 12 security staff and an attitude that was both over zealous and confrontational.
Any feedback would be useful as I am making a formal complaint.
