Radicalisation Interviews
Carl Woolf Law 28 Feb 2025 14:26 GMT
Good afternoon,
I have a client who has been reported to the authorities at Being at a risk of radicalisation. The police have been in contact with him and want him to come in for an interview at Lewisham police station.
He is someone who attends at various protests, although I don’t think there is any allegation that he has committed any criminal offences.
Does anyone have any experience of dealing with this sort of investigation?
The questions that I need to understand are as as follows:
1.. Is the client entitled to legal representation?
2. Is attendance covered by the duty solicitor scheme?
3. If the clients refuses to attend, is there any power of arrest or any other power to force him to attend at such an interview.
Yours sincerely
Carl Woolf
