‘Following the email below please note that, whilst there will be two district judges at Highbury, there will be no magistrates.

The majority of cases will be dealt with by legal advisers under delegated powers – and consequently in large part adjourned.

So far as the youth court is concerned, I made efforts to de-warn as many young people as possible on Friday through solicitors and YOTs but I will re-assess the situation in the youth court as early as possible to minimise the number of young people who have wasted journeys.’
