Subject: Proof of universal credit for legal aid

The online application confirms universal Credit if you have the National Insurance number. You tick Guaranteed Pension Credit as per guidance.

For other benefits, you do not need to provide proof. You can self-certify in any event.

Dear All,

I have a homeless alcoholic client in receipt of universal credit. How can I get proof of his income ? It is an increasing problem as it replaces benefits that the legal aid application online could confirm.
